FanController Deluxe is yet another solution to control the case fans in a PC but this time with an improved user interface.

This project was developed between April and July in 2004 as the Bachelor thesis at Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) The main goal was to learn more about USB and hopefully to create a useful application of the technology. Right now there are no plans to continue the development but if some big bucks company want's to buy the design to make an commercial product out of it we would certainly be interested.

This page can also be seen as inspiration for others who want to learn more about building similar hardware. As of now the source code is not available but that might change in the future.
  • Support for 4 case fans (12 volt)
  • Support both manual and adaptive speed
  • 2 temperature sensors (that can be placed anywhere in the PC)
  • Support for Motherboard Monitor
  • Hardware to software communication through USB
  • User interface through a Windows software program
  • A PC with Windows 98/2k/XP or better. (Has only been tested on XP though)
  • A couple of noisy case fans, the more the better ;)
FanController Deluxe is developed by Mats Abrahamsson and Jonas Hansson
